I have stayed in a lot of B&Bs in my many years of travel but Blue Heron is undoubtedly at the top of my list. Don’t expect a quaint place full of antiques and heavy, brocade curtains. It is a modern accommodation in a perfect setting, especially in the summer. If you are travelling on business and are staying around Sioux Lookout for anywhere between one day to two weeks you will not find anything that even comes close and the price is very reasonable, to say nothing of Karen & Nick who go out of their way to make you comfortable.

Thank you Karen and Nick for a wonderful stay! The entirety of my stay surpassed my expectations. The check in was welcoming and informative, with the tour of the BnB and some info on Sioux Lookout. The accommodation was stylish and spotlessly clean and the bed was nice and comfy. The kitchen was well stocked with fresh fruit, breads, yogurts, eggs, and much more which was great to grab and go on my busy mornings there. The location is just outside of town enough to enjoy the quiet northern splendor but still a short 5-7 min drive into town. I visited on business alone so didn't take in all the waterfront had to offer (and it was Jan), but I will definitely be back in the summer with the wife and daughter!
